Tom & Lucy
Tom's coffee and food obsessed and the mastermind behind many of Hips' most popular dishes (he's also a fan of any form of cycling, sharp shiny Japense steel, and has a confusing love of modern Country Western music). You can always tell how good the day's going by the amount of long blacks he's consumed.
For Lucy, it's all about the people. Hospitality very much runs in her blood, and ensuring both guests and staff are well taken care of is priority number one. From leading the front-of-house team to being the organizational dam before the chaos, she also coaches boxing in her spare time too. Lucy survives mostly on a healthy mix of lunch rushes and flat whites. If you're after barista training or advice, there's no one better to talk to.
Between them, Tom and Luce have over 30 years of combined hospitality experience.

Hips Coffee's Editorial Director and Head Barista, Zak's been obsessed with espresso for over 14 years and has worked from small stores to big chains. He also knows his way around a gaming PC or two as well, with over a decade of expertise working in tech journalism too.

One of Hips longest serving team members, Lizzie's been working front of house, and as a barista for close to five years. She's also an exceptional journalist, and a recent graduate of the University of Bristol, currently operating as the site's resident Staff Writer.
